Guest guest Posted December 12, 2006 Report Share Posted December 12, 2006 Can anyone help me find a doctor for my son around the Philadelphia area (closer to Exton) that is knowledgeable in treating CMT? Still waiting on results as to which type, understanding that it should be the same as my sisters - something to do with the MPZ gene - I'm assuming I need an orthopedic-type Dr. as his foot is going to need something done. His arches are extremely high, he actually walks on the side of his foot and cannot physically put his foot flat. Poor kid also has hammer toes - kinda claw like looking. He is 17 and someone mentioned to me that no type of surgery can be done until he is done growing. Any info, adivce, suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
