Guest guest
I recently began having achey hands. I feel like & also catch myself with my hands clinched in fists. Does anyone have symtoms like this? I have had surgery (in second grade at age 7, I am now 33) and also in Oct. 1998 (age 25).The surgery was for achilles tendon lengthing and plantar facitis. Dr. Gould in Birmingham Alabama did the surgery and I was told for the first time I had CMT. He did a visual and reflex test to determine this. My dad and his brothers had CMT (now deceased). My sister also has symptoms and well as several cousins from my dad's side.
Guest guest
, My hands do not ache but they do curl inward and I find myself clinching them and sometimes wake up at night with my hands in a tight fist. I have tried braces that I slept with but didn't find them to be helpful. If you find something that will help, I would love to try it. Guest guest
I do have achey hands. A manicure with a hand massage and parrafin in wonderful. I also find myself clenching my hands at night, but not during the day.
Guest guest
My hands get sore and I clinch my fists. When the weather gets cold it's hard on my legs and hands. My feet are always cold. I have to wear socks to bed year around. Umm maybe that will work for my hands too, haha Rubbing your hands or hold them under warm water for a bit. Sometimes I'll sit on my hands. Sitting on my hands helps with my tremors also.
Guest guest
My hands hurt the worst after the tremors. As the weather gets colder, I have more issues with the pain. Putting my hands under hot running water is good for immediate results, but won't last too long. Sitting on my hands seems to be the best. It also helps with tremors too. Guest guest
I also sit on my hands, but they still hurt. Never had tremors. What is a good description of tremors. Sorry if that sounds dumb. The achey hands started just about a week ago and I've noticed being very fatigue. It's driving me crazy. Kinda of worried because of my job as a pharmacy tech. I really like it but I've been having trouble opening bottles and the standing for 8 plus hours a day. Oh well.
Guest guest
I did have all feet pain, but in the last year I have noticed my hands to be hurting and I have looked down several times and have seen my hands in a fist and have thought to myself " why am I making a fist for no reason? " . lol this is before I knew I had CMT...so I thought nothing of it. I am having more hand pain now and my hands and fingers get cold very easy, so I know where you are coming from.
