Guest guest
Hi Amy, Take the shoes to a shoe repair place. Get a thin, attractive strap matching the color of your shoes with a small/dainty buckle put over the arch area. Your foot will stay in the pretty shoes that way and you won't need something for the arch, unless your arch starts hurting. I had a strap put on three pairs of dress pumps like this - black patent shoes, red leather ones and a pair of brown ones. I think my shoe repairman charged about $25 for the whole lot. Not a bad deal. Another pair of shoes I have are black with jewels on them. I studied them for awhile, and wanting something different, (lol) I had him make a small hole on each side, then I got some thin, satin ribbon in various colors, and use that as a tie. It also brings out the colors in the jewels. (yeah, fake jewels, so what, lol) That's all for my shoe design career I can think of at the moment. If you need arch support, look for Spenco products, you might need to buy something and cut it down to fit in your shoe. You can do 'arch layers' maybe, but arches really do need sturdy support. ~ Gretchen (who'd rather be barefoot than wear ANY shoes!)
