Guest guest Posted September 6, 2008 Report Share Posted September 6, 2008 Dear Friend,I have trouble sleeping at times when I am under panic or in depr..You may try chanting or affirming a keyword, phrase or concentrating on your breathing and taking slow and relaxed breaths..or go for a nightwalk some time before going to bed to give an outlet to your nerous energy and see to it that you remain calm and composed through the walk..You might also coin few of your own thoughts, feelings to check drifting in negative thoughts, worry..I have a few..am sharing one that I can remember now..I can buy tomorrows happiness with todays guilt/worry..I say it to myself when I drift in depr. thoughts..or in noise in my head..and listening to this statement makes me aware that if i were to be happy tomorrow or in my life ahead..i must have to start living it so in NOW..There are some nights when I cant even breathe or sleep for an hour..there are others when I can with my thoughts have a good nights sleep..Hope You will find peace in heart and in life and a Good Nights Sleep,With Love,Nachi Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I chose something good or that I'm looking forward and chose to think about that. And let my mind wander on about it. For eg....if I'm looking forward to an event...I'll think about what I'll wear, where I'll buy it, what to buy with it.....and so on and so on.... It can last long time! LOL When a negative thought tries to creep in, I make myself go back to thinking about the positive event. I helps me to t take my mind off of problems and eventually I can fall asleep.
