Guest guest
Bree Anne, You must go to each of your doctors and ask for all copies of your medical records. You may have to sign a release - even for yourself. You may have to volunteer to xerox all the papers yourself. But get them. Some docs actually charge for this, but these are YOUR records, you must have these, keep them, sort through them and make sure your SS file has the appropriate information. I did not realize you had applied for SSI. I thought you applied for SSDI. Still, with SSI, they do send you a printed copy of your phone interview - you should have that in your personal files. You are either able to work, or unable to work. That is a big difference. ~ Gretchen
Guest guest
I tried to get copies of my medical records 2 years ago. I needed them because I was going to the MDA clinic for the first time. I was told I couldn't have them (I did sign a release form) but that they would forward them to the neurologist. I knew/know I had/have a right to MY records but I didn't want to deal with them at that time. I will set out to get my own set of my records in the New Year. I can be just as stubborn if not more!!
