I have a sister named Donna and she lives in Milaca, and she has CMT also. She doesn't have a computer so I had to call and tell her about this. I can see 2 people with the same name in the same town, but the odds of both having CMT is unreal. I just wanted to share this with you and if you want to e-mail me directly, feel free to do so. Guest guest Posted November 17, 2006 Report Share Posted November 17, 2006 Hi I'm am very familiar with the Brainerd area. My folks had a cabin on Gull River for many, many years. We kept it in the family when my folks passed on. When my brother retired he moved into the cabin and remodeled it. I remember the little store in Baxter that we used to frequent. It isnt so little any more. Everything has really changed, but is still beautiful country there. And yes, I try not to go out any more than I have to in this cold Minnesota weather and when the snow starts to fly, I'm always afraid of falling. Happy to meet a fellow Minnesotan. My hair and eyebrows are thinning and I never expected it to maybe be caused by CMT, but now that I know I'm not alone, maybe this has happened to others also. You were wondering about my hair an end of my eyebrows.... no I never was told my Thyroid was ok....go figure!!...Would be interesting to see if it was CMT related.
