Donna,

As I was reading your letter, and saw that Adam has already picked up 7 new

words, I was saying WOW! That is so fantastic! He is such a smart little boy!

Then, I got to the part where you said that you just got home from school, took

your final exam....and NOW YOU ARE A COLLEGE GRADUATE!!!!! Donna, I have tears

running down my face!!!!!!! That is the best news in the whole world! I am so

proud of you! What a wonderful thing you have accomplished! I envy you! I have

made so many excuses not to go back and get my degree! And look at you!!!!! A

COLLEGE GRADUATE!!!!!!!!

Now that is something to really say WOW about!!!!!!!!!!!

Love,

Kristy

Kristy - Just a little more bragging. Even though Adam still wants nothing

to do with the speech therapist, we have spent ten days now doing what she

told us to do. Adam has already picked up about seven new words. It is

amazing. I love to hear him talk.

Just one little brag about myself - I can't keep it to myself because I am

so excited. I just got home from school. Tonight I took my last final exam

- I am a college graduate. I never thought I would have the opportunity to

say those words.

Donna,

I wonder why he was scared of the therapist? Maybe she came on too strong! I

would suggest that she comes in like any other visitor and sits on the couch

a bit so he can get a feel for her. That may help some. I can't believe he

is just now getting ST! I don't understand why the EI programs wait so late

to start ST! It seems to me that if they started earlier, they would learn

quicker! ....ok....I am off the soap box now...lol

LOL I remember my boys saying " asses asses we all fall down! " LOL If you

think about it.....lol....that is what is falling down! lol

That would be so fantastic if this family lives 10 minutes away from you!

Question is, does their child have MDS or Ds....because the therapist could

be lumping the two together! Either way, let her know about our support

group! It would be great to hear from the new family!

Kristy

I am still singing Ring around the Rosie in my head! lol

Adam has learned part of a song this week. Ring around the Rosie. The

part he knows is Ashes, Ashes, All fall down. He is not real good at the

sh " sound, so it sounds more like asses, asses, all fall down - but he is

trying. I was very excited to learn from the speech therapist that there is

a little boy, who is two like Adam, that lives in the next city from us.

About 10 minutes away. His mom asked if we could exchange numbers so now we

just have to wait to hear from her. I will give her the website so she can

join in.
