Here are some suggestions for books that can be read to kids or that kids

can read themselves that concern people with Down syndrome or MDS.

his activities as the class waits for a special visitor.

Albert Whitman & Comp.

Down syndrome.

Guidance Channel, , 28 pages

Views from Our Shoes by Meyer

disablility. 114 pages

My Friend Isabelle by Eliza Woloson

28 pages.

These last two book are from Woodbine House, ,

www.woodbinehouse.com. There is a free teacher's guide online for My Friend

Isabelle.

Woodbine House also publishes the 3 Russ books: Russ and the Appletree

Surprise, Russ and the Firehouse, and Russ and the Almost Perfect Day, all

by Russ' mother Janet Rickert. The book and the Russ books all

feature great photographs of the kids just being themselves.

Enjoy!
