My name is Fred,I am a 42 year old male who has been suffering with

chronic pain and numbness in my lower back hands and legs and feet.I

have been to alot of doctors and was told that I have fibromyalgia.

Recently my mother (77 years)fell and broke her arm, compound fracture and was

hospitalized.My mothers legs ,feet, and hands have been slowley been getting

worse for the past 15 years, but she was never diagnosed with CMT .That is until

this last visit to the hospital.All of her tests came back positive.

I am currently undergoing the same battery of tests.It would be nice to have

some answers and turn my treatment in the right direction. Although, I have been

on most of the medications discussed in this group, so far the side effects have

out weighed the benefits.

The only person who I have had to talk to about this is my wife, my mother is

still in denial.It has been a long 2 years and I really need some answers. Thank

you for allowing me to be part of your group.
