Boy, I remember Mark needing more intense services at that age too. He was in

special ed until second grade. And now, he's a senior in High School getting

a regular diploma and doesn't recieve any services! Better to get lots of

intervention at a young age - it will pay off in the long run. Hope this helps

Welcome to our family! I am so glad that you found us. Please feel free to ask

as many questions as you have. Often young children will get lost in school,

especially on those first days! I would advise that you tell the teachers that

they need to be in charge of her and make sure she doesn't get lost again! lol

Tell us all about you and your granddaughter, and please let her parents know

about our support group! We would love to have them with us as well! Please tell

us what area you live in! We may have a family near you! Once again, welcome to

our family, I look forward to hearing all about you and your granddaughter.

We homeschooled our daughter bringing her home mid second grade after

mainstreaming her and finding out how bad the kids treated her. She took off

and

became a solid A, B, student. She graduates this year. Dave
