Beth,

Wow, I have just the opposite problem. I was very thin and then my thyroid started to act up. I gained 70 pounds but recently have been able to lose 40 of it. About 30 or 40 more and I'll be back to where I had been. I'm close to menopause now so I'm not sure if I'll even lose it. They say the older you get the harder it is to lose.

Hi Beth,I have an enlarged thyroid that showed up on an MRI. I am still looking for those test results. I found out yesterday that my resting pulse is 102, which is a little high, but might explain why I never seem to gain weight. Actually, during the time I had implants, I dropped from 100 to 85 pounds. I'm a small person so it wasn't too bad, but I am now up to 95 pounds. Maybe I'm on the edge of hyperthyroid? I think my tests were almost borderline, am trying to remember.hugs,BethOpinions expressed are NOT meant to take the place of advice given by licensed health care professionals.
