Guest guest
Shari I saw you on mtv last night and you did great. It made me cry when you started crying and I was glad that you were able to tell how sick you really had gotten. Also that was great that you were able to mention the support group and how you found out that there were so many other sick women from implants. You did a really nice job! Your son looks adorable! How neat that they showed one of the pics from the idaho get together! Also, even though they spent more time on the girl getting implants and liposuction, they didn't appear to be glamourizing it. I was sickened by the surgery shots they showed. Showing those shots, the way she looked all in pain afterwards, and best yet---showing how she still wasn't that pleased with herself---perhaps might make someone hesitate rather than run right out to do it. ly, she didn't change that much and her breasts looked stupid. When they showed her photo shoot, her breasts looked like round huge balls on her chest. I thought it was a nice touch that they told how she didn't buy the pics because she didn't like them. In other words, her story didn't have a fairy tale ending. I didn't think it was encouraging women to get surgery---not like that swan show did where it made it appear that they could take an ugly duckling and turn her into a swan. So all in all, I thought the overall impact of the show wasn't encouraging of getting plastic surgery. Hugs kathy
