I briefly remember reading about it when I was researching my implants, so I googled it, and read about it in breastimplantinfo.com. I think that is what we have, based on your description, and mine. When I called my PS, the nurse had never heard of it! But upon researching on the internet, I guess it is a common complication after breast implantation or mastectomy. I never heard of it as a complication after implant removal, but I suppose it does happen. I just wanted to see if anyone else had it.

According to what I have read, there is no treatment for it. I guess it goes away on its own. I found putting a warm cloth on it and taking Ibuprofen helps the pain.

You are so welcome! It also makes me feel better to know I am not the only one who got it after explant. I wasn't sure if that was normal or not. Mine is still a bit sore, but it is gradually getting better as well. mageemay65 <pamgje@...> wrote:
