Silicone Sick Woman needs advice

Lea:

I read you comments on Dr. Dowden and hoped that you could help with something.

I have had McGhan Double Lumen implants for 18 years and I AM VERY ILL. I DON'T KNOW UNTIL A YEAR AGO THAT IT WAS SILICONE MAKING ME SICK.

Because of being sick, I haven't worked hardly for the past 10 year. Therefore, I am broke. I can't find a surgeon who will do en-bloc and take medi-cal also. I found a Surgeon I think I can convince if he has some knowledge. He seems humble and open.

What I need is to send him documentation that:

1. Silicone is leaching into my body after 18 years of the outer lumen breaking down, or info. on my specific implants as far as studies go. (Can't find Pierre Blais studies and know he has studied them).

2. Proven scientific info. on diseases caused by silicone, fungus, etc.

3. Reason for medical necessity of removal by EN-BLOC Surgery so I can get medi-cal approval.

Anything you can help me with would be much appreciated. Thank you so much. Sue

Could we all help Sue, she is sick and her plastic surgeon has refused to remove her implants. I'm just not sure how I can help from Canada, I will continue to write to her and give her all the support that I can.

Lea

sue shouldn't go that guy anyway. She needs to find a ps that

believes that implants are harmful and will do a good job of

explanting her. Where does she live? Perhaps we can recommend

someone. If she doesn't have it done right,she will have less of a

chance for a good recovery.

I'm so glad you brought Sue . . . It may take some

time, but I'm convinced she can get things worked out.

I've been traveling the past few days, and while I can

get to a computer, I've been very involved with the

family.

I hope Sue is already getting information. Did you

give her the list of California doctors?

I'm happy that you are having a nice time with your family. I have sent sick

Sue all of the information. had written some pretty nasty things about

Dr. Dowden and Sue seems to be his patient. I had another lady write to me

too and Dr. Dowden will be implanting her this week. What to do?

Lea,

I worry about any woman getting implants . . . but we

can't do anything about it! . . . So there's no use

stressing over it.

We'll be here if they need help!

I'm praying that so much will come out at the FDA

hearings that even saline implants will be given

another review!

If nothing else, the FDA and implants will be given so

much bad press nobody will want to go near them!

Somehow, sometime, this madness has to come to an end.

I'm concerned, because Sue has not responed to the group. My said some

pretty bad things about Dr. Dowden, and I think that he is her plastic

surgeon. They would love to get us for these comments. Women really play

games with me. Sue is sick from her breast implants and perhaps she has

become frightened...information overload.

hopefully she will get in touch with you or this group. I sure hope

so because it sure sounds like she needs to get those implants out.

Was she the one who recently posted that she didn't have enough

money to afford an explant? Or was that someone else. Let me know

Thank you. I did forward her message to the group, she said that she could

not afford the explant. Sue did say that she wanted help.

Lea,

Thanks for helping Sue . . . Sometimes women need time

to assimilate the information they get - especially

when it calls for complete restructuring of what they

have believed for so long, and that effects their life

so immensely.

Please don't stress over her. . . When she's ready,
