Guest guest
I've seen a Bullworker 2 advertised on eBay as the 'original' Bullworker but I thought the Tensolator was the original. So what does the old Tensolator look like? Was it the one with no red ring or powermeter? Anyone got one, or a photograph? Bob
Guest guest
The Tensolator is the original Bullworker. It is about an inch or so longer than Bullworker 2 and 3, and has green handles and "Tensolator Bullworker" stamped on the ends of the handles. It has no rings or numbers on tube. It is very well made, like the 2s and 3s.Bob wrote: I've seen a Bullworker 2 advertised on eBay as the 'original' Bullworker but I thought the Tensolator was the original. Guest guest
Let me clear something up. I was mistaken about the words "patent pending" on the handles of my Tensolators. Instead, they state" International Patent". I noticed this last night when I pulled one out to use. Oh by the way, I just purchased a Power Twister brand new. It came with no instructions, and I was curious if anyone here has some exercises for it. Brawn Woodard wrote: Yeah, I believe they are the very first ones out. On the manual there is no mention of the word Bullworker. I must say they are the highest quality in my whole collection, and I have every model except the Steel Bow.richard pancoast <plumbguy2002> wrote: That one sounds like the "original" original. Woodard <brianwoodard73> wrote: I have two Tensolators, and both only state " Patent Pending" on the handles. Additionally, they both have " Made in Germany" on the bottom of the handles. One I lucked upon at an estate sale even came with a Tensolator manual. It had different exercises than BW2 manual, and told the user to use all your energy on each exercise. With my wife's help, I would like to try and scan the manual. Brawnrichard pancoast <plumbguy2002> wrote: The Tensolator is the original Bullworker. Guest guest
So, Tensolator owners/collectors, do you think it has a stronger spring than any of the other models? Guest guest
I only currently own 2 bullworkers – my original green tensolator (failing fast) and my mint condition brown bullworker 3 Despite my tensolator falling apart inside (one stop is braking up rapidly) the spring is a lot more strong than my brown bullworker 3 Also my green tensolator is longer making it harder for me to compress as I am quite short and don’t have wide arms. Size of device and strength of spring are very important. On a different note – I have had a chest expander since 1976 and could for the life of me not understand why there was rope/string inside all the springs until I bought from a car boot sale a stomach developer which had a powerful spring and the same rope/string inside. The instructions stated do not expand more than 3 foot – I believe the rope/string prevents expansion beyond this point. One of the reasons my tensolator has a rapidly failing stop is the instructions did not tell me to stop compressing – so on dead lifts etc I compressed as much as I could. The book said “Even though you will be able to compress fully don’t stop” I bet I could go to a million car boot sales and not find another tensolator – events that change are lives or directions in life! Its spooky, I was in the right place at the right time to get my tensolator and this has effected my life and training. There is a theory that we are pawns in a giant game of chess played by forces beyond our understanding, with this our lives are manipulated. I wonder just how much truth is in this?! I know through my own life experiences and events I am beginning to believe in this theory more and more. Anyway I am on the look out for a replacement tensolator – the search goes on! So, Tensolator owners/collectors, do you think it has a stronger spring than any of the other models? Guest guest
The Tensolator feels robust and very well built. I especially love the cables which are twice the size of BW3. They provide a good feel in your hands due to the size. I must admit all models are high quality. To answer your question, I compare Tensolator and X5 resistance levels. The only drawback for some of you about the Tensolator is that it has no powermeter or way of gauging your exertion. This was an add on on BW2. I just love the simplicity and quality of the Tensolator. Two forest green handles, two forest green cables, and two shiny chrome tubes.
