Guest guest
Hi Kenda, This is a very good point that you have brought to everyone's attention. Before I became ill, I was working as a computer expert. Back in 1995 when I was doing my research on saline, the only thing that I could find was about silicone. However, I think that it was just too soon for information about saline implants to be available. That me re-phrase that...negative information about saline implants. I was sick for 2 1/2 years before going back online to see if I could find information. Everyone (doctors mainly) had convinced me that I was sick due to stress and overwork. Not because of my implants. They are safe after all. Ha! What a joke!! I have always gone to newsgroups for information. That is how I found this group. I did searches through newsgroups on breast implants. Beth S. If I were a teenager and was thinking about getting implants, the program would make me feel as though it is 'rare' to have complications. The story focused on the 'happy ending'. However, if the world isn't ready for the truth then there isn't much that anyone can do about that. I'm hoping that those 3 minutes of air time can lead to more opportunities for all of us to speak out and let everyone know what pain we have been through. I was so disappointed with the MTV show. I just cannot believe that most of the air time was given to and basically ended with her being happy and getting exactly what she wanted. We all know that this really isn't what cosmetic surgery is all about. Our girl got what....3 minutes of air time????? I just couldn't believe this. I think that it should have focused on the negative and not so much the positive. My heart goes out to anyone that gets the surgery and becomes sick. When they showed her having difficulty walking down the steps I saw myself. I wanted to hear more about her and what she is doing to improve her health. Anyway, why on earth did the 22 year old need to have the huge breasts? To look like Carmen Electra??? I think that she was much more attractive than CE! I couldn't help but think what her life will be like in a few years??? Does anyone feel the same way as I do??? I just had to speak up and give my opinion. Guest guest
Hi Beth, If this group was easier to find, more people mind find it. I don’t know how Cindi got her bio to come up with Google but if more of you could do that or if this list could come up, you might be surprised how many women like me show up. I searched for hours on end for weeks and never found anything negatively relating to saline. It was because of this that I booked my 4/21 surgery date. I belong to other lists for soap making, can’t believe I didn’t even think to check for implant lists. Kenda Hi Kenda, This is a very good point that you have brought to everyone's attention.
