Guest guest
RAY WROTE: << I cannot continue with the anxiety and panic so this week I see a psychiatrist. In two weeks I see the rheumatologist for reports on xrays to update my arthritic condition. I will have to eventually switch pain clinic doctors due to my doctor's lack of knowledge for treating Fibro and arthritic pain effectively. The bottom line on all this is that getting your doctors to work together to help you is almost an impossibility. First they won't cooperate, and next they're arguing about each one's opinion on what is best. I've had it. I will have to drive two hours to the rheumatologist's clinic, but they do have a pain clinic in the same building, under the same administration, and have exprience on working together with each other. The psychiatrist is between my home and the rheumatologist. I'll increase my driving time for seeing doctors from 5 minutest (barely two miles away) to round trips of 4 hours not counting appointment time. I haven't minded waiting before since I went locally, but when you drive two hours and have to face a two hour drive home, you don't want to be held in a waiting room for 4 and a half hours like my last visit to the rheumatologist. >> =========================================================================== Even after eight years of dealing with the same kind of nonsense in my own battles with Chronic Pain it is still sometimes bewildering to sit back and read a statement like this! Grown men presumably highly intelligent(left to the readers discretion) with countless years of schooling in human pshyiology behind them and yet they still act like children in the playground trying to see who's ego and intelligence will win-- All at the cost of the patient!!! Thats you and me folks --One and all!! Such a pitty! If only we could get a panel of Doctors in a room and tell them 2 things--LISTEN TO YOUR PATIENTS AND GROW UP! Sorry to hear you have to take such long rides Ray! May they be Peaceful brother! See Ya y
