Guest guest
Welcome Moss, I hope you'll find this group beneficial! We have some wonderful ladies here! You are fortunate to get an explant date so quickly. How are you feeling? Have you confirmed that your doctor will remove your implants " en bloc " . . . That means remove the capsule with the implant still inside to prevent contaminated fluids from spilling into your chest cavity. You doctor should also use drains to remove any excess fluid that accumulates after surgery. They're a nuisance, but they can save you additional surgery. Some doctors think that leaving the capsule behind won't hurt anything . . . while it may not, it can. Especially if there is any fungal organisms that have been growing in your implants. You may benefit by detoxing if you've been symptomatic. If you'll click on the first link below, you'll see a link to recommended healing therapies. Hugs and prayers, Rogene Do you plan to replace your implants. --- k_a_moss <northside_books@...> wrote: > > Hi Everyone! > > I've had smooth saline implants for 18 years and > until now have had > few problems. Guest guest
Hi Rogene, Thanks for the warm welcome. My surgeon (he is the original PS) is not removing the capsule or using drains. He did not feel it was necessary. Right now I'm feeling nervous and very excited. I'm psychologically ready for this change. In fact, I can't wait to get these fake things out of my body. I feel, at 50, I've earned the right to be myself. Because the right implant collasped and drained, I have a *sneak preview* of what I may look like post-explant. It's very strange to have one breast a big firm 'B almost C', and the other a soft tear drop A. I prefer the A! I forgot how soft my breasts used to feel. My surgeon was very supportive of removing the implants only, and he did not try and pressure me into replanting or lifting. He said I ought to have a very favorable outcome, and end up with lovely natural A's. I'm lucky to have chosen saline, I think, and chosen smooth, not too large. Also my choice to go on top of the muscle, not under, helped. Those decisions apparently will make this explant easier than many... I know some women feel strongly about the capsule removal. Right now I'm trusting my doctor in this. I've read about some excellent outcomes this way; so it is possible. I'm doing a pre-surgery protocol of extra vitamin C, and bromelain, no E or blood thinning herbs. What else? Oh yes, probiotics, and my homemade yogurt. I'm a vegetarian and I eat very healthy - which will help me through this process, too. Again, thank you all for your knowledge, and sharing your stories. It means so much! blessings, Moss > > > > Hi Everyone! > > > > I've had smooth saline implants for 18 years and > > until now have had > > few problems. Guest guest
- Moss Welcome to our group. I think you will be pleased to have your soft natural breasts back too. Though I liked having normal sized breasts, I never liked the way my salines felt or even looked. They often looked like balls on my chest where most womens breast slope down gently. YOu said that you have had few problems until recently. I was just wondering if the deflation is the only problem you have had. If you have had any fatigue, muscle aches, brain fog, or other symptoms then you should think seriously about removing the capsules. Since he is in there anyway, why can't he remove the capsules? Also, as rogene pointed out, drains make your recovery faster and better. Some people especially can collect alot of fluid around the surgery area and it can delay healing and cause pain. Just some things to think about. Anyway, I hope everything goes smoothly for you! Good luck.
