Liz,

Welcome to the group . . . I'm sorry you need us, but

I'm glad you're here. Your symptoms are only too

common, and if not taken care of promptly can lead to

a lifetime of ill health.

Since you're a nurse, I have to warn you that we're

mostly about alternative medicine . . . because, as

you've experienced, the most of the medical profession

hasn't got a clue when it comes to the problems

associated with breast implants.

Since you got sick so soon, chances are you have

contaminated implants. This makes it very important

that your have your implants removed properly .. .

That is " en bloc " i.e. the capsule removed with the

implant still inside. This is to keep the contaminated

contents from spilling into your chest cavity. The

doctor may drain the implant with a needle first.

Also, the doctor should insert a drainage tube to

prevent a buildup of fluids in your chest. To leave

the capsule in is like leaving a dirty towel behind .

.. and risks further surgery.

Unfortunately, the implanting surgeon is usually the

worst choice for explant. They usually minimize the

problem and look for a quick fix . .. then tell you

that, since your implants aren't the problem, you

won't feel better after getting them out. Duh!!!

In the meantime, drink plenty pure water, take

probiotics - a prescription like Nystatin is good, or

acidopholis, Garden of Life's Fungal Defense followed

minimize the chemicals in your life . . . Eat organic

if possible, avoid sugar like the plague, and minimize

refined grains.
