I just need to know how long it took for the procedure? how quickly

did you get in with your surgeon? did you have to wait long? how much

is the base price?

i am hoping that my symptoms will go away and that i havent had them

in too long. hopefully there is not permanent damage, i want to go

back to my normal lifestyle.

thank you for everyone who emailed me back, i am here if anyone needs

me, i just want to get through this nightmare.

Hi Liz, It wasn't long ago that I was searching for answers as you

are. I found this site in February. Several surgeons were

recommended by women who had explanted with them. I e-mailed my

surgeon, and he promptly e-mailed back within 24 hrs. I called his

office, and scheduled the explant for 3/30. I'll be flying to Dallas

tomorrow for the consultation and pre-op bloodwork, etc. The cost

I'll be paying is $4000 for the explant, about $1000 for the hospital,

and there are anesthesia charges, and lab charges. I budgeted about

$6000 for the trip. I found a hotel near the hospital and asked if

they had a special rate for medical needs. That was another

suggestion from ladies on this site, and I did get a suite for $79 a

night! So, I support you in your learning about explant surgery. I

will be posting online when I return home on Sat. night. I'll be

posting before if I can get to a pc in the hotel or hospital. This is

a new journey for me, but the ladies on this site have given me so

much hope and faith. The voices of experience will carry you through

also. Be strong and best wishes for your decisions for the future...
