what Dr. M told ME before surgery

Just wanted to support my new hero, Dr. M in Dallas by saying what

he told me about the symptoms of women who are having implant

problems. He said that there is no PROOF of our symptoms, such as

hair loss or Hashimotos, being related to implants. There simply is

not the scientific data yet for him to tell me whether one symptom

will improve 30% or 90% or be cured after explant. We are the new

guinea pigs for the 21st century. I am certain that he is dedicated

enough to continue to acquire histories from us as we see him in

person, and will publish or share such information when possible.

However, he said he has explanted over 800 women, and the majority

of us have similar complaints. I told him my list, including the

hypothyroid, and he said my symptoms were in line with the general

symptoms given by other patients who had problems with implants that

he had treated.

When I was sharing with Dr. M by e-mail, before I met Dr. M., I

realized that he could not give me personal advice over the

internet. For one thing, it's a LIABILITY ISSUE, i.e. diagnosing

without treating the patient. For another, it's a LIABILITY ISSUE.

How does he know I am really a sick woman with implants seeking

medical help instead of a Mentor affiliate who does have millions to

take his opinions to court?? For another, it's a LIABILITY ISSUE. He

cannot tell me that specific diseases or conditions will improve or

not once the implants are removed. The clinical trials simply are

not there.

We are on the forefront of a swelling tide of women who are emerging

with debilitating illnesses relating to implants. Perhaps as we

seek explant, and continue to share our symptoms in our recovery,

there will eventually be scientific evidence that our sufferings

were due to the implants. But at this point, a surgeon cannot tell

me that the implants caused any one of my symptoms. I have to be my

own physician, and heal myself by my OWN realization of my OWN

body's problems. Let's be grateful that there are surgeons out

there who are helping us.

I think if and when you meet Dr. M. in person, and he is officially

treating you as his patient, his opinions to you will be voiced

clearly on the subject. He's on our side....I trusted him with my

life, and I can say he is truly dedicated to helping women who are

experiencing problems with implants.
