It is with a heavy heart that I have to inform you that my class mate, Dr.

Vandana (Oak) Kakatkar, has finally lost her valiant fight with Ca liver.

She leaves behind a grieving anaesthetist husband (Vivek), a married

daughter and a recently married son, Sagar (D-Orth).

Vandana was always the happy go lucky sort. A bit on the rotund side, she

never worried about weight reduction much and remained chubby until

chemotherapy robbed her of her vitality.

She acted in a few Marathi dramas with me at MGIMS. During our exams times,

she would always cheerfully remark, " I am not worried. Worry is for brainy

chaps like you, whose rank may go a bit lower. As long as I pass, I don't

care. "

Those interested may offer their condolences on 9822040156.
