Guest guest
Daryl, I tested very positive for candida a few years ago and 2 months ago, after a stool test, I was negative. After advise and much reading here is what I did: Candex for 2 months (2 in the morning, 1 hour before food - 2 at night, 1 hour after food)(taking 4 a day and on an empty stomach is VERY important) Also: acidohilus caplylic acid biotin after taking candex for 6 weeks: 2 diflucan (2 days apart) (Some doctors advise much more-but remember it is hard on the kidneys) eat as little sugar as possible (and I have a huge sweet tooth). also, elimate white bread and white pasta. I completely stopped my morning juice, and any daily juices or sodas. This was easy. With a child around, it is difficult, but you need to get rid of all the sweets in the cupboard. When I couldn't stand my sweet craving anymore, I went to the store and bought one sweet. I now don't crave the sweets. Maybe once a week I have a desert. for the yeast infection: after the diflucans, use: 1 - 7 day treatment of monistat (generic brand) 2 days later: 4 - 1 day treatments of monistat used every 2 days I had a yeast infection for about 6 months and, after this, I have been yeast infection free for 2 months now. I hope this helps, RobinKenda Skaggs <kdskaggs@...> wrote: Hi Daryl,Thank you for the kind words.I’m sorry to hear you are feeling so poorly. Candida can do a number on the body. I read Dr. Crook’s book years ago and followed the diet. I remember stepping into my MD’s office weighing 87 pounds and him telling me I was making progress! I immediately went off the diet, it was much too rigorous for me. Has anyone ever prescribed Diflucan for your yeast? I went through a 21-day period where I took one Diflucan per day and was also prescribed an herbal with Pau D’Arco and other antifungals. I had a die-off reaction at about day 4 and improved after that point. I notice if I eat sugar while taking Diflucan that my stomach gets really upset because there is a war going on internally and the sugar feeds the yeast side — that’s a good way to kill a sugar craving. I realize Diflucan is an allopathic drug and is not natural but it is extremely effective at killing the yeast. Dr. Leu, my ND prescribed the treatment and he tries to stay natural whenever he can.I did one fast a few years ago but I really don’t feel it was helpful and I think with a sick body it could be harmful. I could be wrong but I think your body really needs to be fed when it’s healing. I really think if you could get your hands on some Diflucan, enough for at least 21 days, you’d feel much, much better.Kenda You remind me so much of , who gave me all kinds of great advice a year ago about detoxing! I'm really behind on reading the posts, so I don't know if she is still posting alot, but I know that she is happily pregnant. You both have done a great job at researching ways to get better. It really helps girls like me that feel too crummy to remember all the stuff that we have heard about!I'm Daryl from Las Vegas and have been on the group for over 2 years. I've been explanted for two yrs. and still have terrible Candida. I still feel like I have poison in me. I have all over muscle aches, fatigue, depression and awful sugar cravings.I've been to several holistic Dr.s who have put me on strict diets and supplements, and I fail so badly on the diet that the guilt is overwhelming. I'm looking for a way to curb the sugar cravings. I have a 3 year old son and I need to get rid of all this junk in my system so that I can be a good Mommy!!I live close to Patty here and she showed me some books on fasting. Have you ever done that? I would love to talk with you if you have time. My # is 702-361-6442. I will try to keep up with the computer because I think that you have so much good info for all of us-Thank you so much!
