Guest guest
Hi Shari! I think that was the problem....I wasn't sweating. Hot as hell but not sweating. The more water I drank the more my hands and feet swelled up. Then when I got out, my face was blood red. I'm just worried because when I first became sick, a cat scan showed something that was right next to my heart. Three cardiologists from a major hospital in Delaware had a meeting about it. They didn't know what it was. There guess was that it was a lymph node that was enlarged. Then when I moved back to Pennsylvania and had it checked 6 months later, which is what they told me to do, the hospital wasn't as good and they passed it off as a cyst. This has always worried me. I was just wondering if my face turning red and swelling of the hands and feet is a sign of a heart problem. I was told that if it grows even the slightest bit I would have to have it removed which would be open heart surgery. I was a bit upset when I saw how red my face was. Most people in the gym that saw me were a bit alarmed too! Beth S.halvey70@... wrote: BethI also had a tough time staying in the sauna for long periods of time at first.... Guest guest
Hi, Have you tried making sure your electrolytes are in balance prior to trying to sweat. I wonder if this might help you. I remember my neurologist telling me it is not unusual for it to take women 25 minutes before they sweat. Men and women have different sweating patterns. I had to complete a sweat test (full body) that was so difficult to get through. I did not start to sweat until 25 minutes into the test. GT --- " Beth S. Guest guest
beth wow - that sounds weird, I sweated profusely but also had a very red face that lasted for hours after each treatment. I looked horribly flushed after showering and going home each time. I can't imagine why you were not sweating in there - sounds like something to address w/ a doc for sure. The heart thing would be worrisome for me also.... I have another idea about whatever they saw... I had a large abscess in my chest a few months ago - long after explant. My left breast never stopped hurting - the right is totally healed. The left side is where I had the infection post explant and it is also where I had to have it manually drained after my explant TWICE due to massive blood build up (I did not have drains). It has NEVER felt right and soon after I developed the costochrondritis - inflammation of the rib cartilage. This has never really gone away but gotten much better until recently ... they said I had an abscess on my left side on my ribs near my heart... said it was a staph infection too. I had several treatments and it feels better but I am wondering if this may be your issue? maybe an abscess or small patch of infection or maybe even a piece of the implant shell that is still int there.... you never know as I had a ton of pieces missing off of my implants after removal. one had something like 30% of the textured shell gone... Just something to think about mentioning on your next visit. It could be a sheel part love shari
Guest guest
Beth Yep - it did hurt like hell!!! they had to drain them twice w/ a very large needle - I swear that thing was 6 inches long!!! After explanting I was very small - it was before my "flufifng". After a few days my left boob looked like it had an implant again!! When he drained it, he took out something like 60cc's of fluid. The second time it wasn't as much. I definitely wish I had received drains and would HIGHLY recommend them to any girl here getting explanted - if they give you an option choose them. They may be gross and uncomfortable but they would feel much better than a massive needle with NO anesthesia. That was horrible. I think the stars that have implants have them replaced frequently ... that is my opinion, otherwise I think a ton of them would be sick. Several stars have spoken out but not nearly enough. I also think they are reluctant as they don't want people to know they had them (like we wouldn't already know). I know Demi has had hers removed and maybe downsized - I also know that I have not seen her doing much lately on screen. I hope she isn't sick - I really like her. And Pam - she has hep c and who knows how she got it - maybe the numerous implant operations? Some docs are not the tidiest-found that out the hard way. I wish more would come out - I think they will in time as more become ill. It is against the odds really, based on what I have seen over the years, that they won't have some type of complication. Of course they go to the best, most expensive docs which may help. who knows. I wish they would all remove them, get healthy, and stop the madness with the young people these days!! They could set a good example for once love shari
Guest guest
Hi Shari, Dr. Blais examined my implants. I had no deterioration of the implants and no leaking. Thank God!!! They were filled with bacteria though. He did find chronic abscesses in the capsule of both implants. Don't know how an abscess or anything would get into the sack of the heart. However, I know the damn things can if left in for long enough, start to effect your organs so who knows. Can't believe you had to be drained with a needle for blood in the breasts. My doctor warned me that could happen so I was scared. I had drains though and it didn't happen. That must have hurt like hell. How long has it been since explant for you now? Gives me hope since you are feeling better and had many more issues than I did with the mold and the implants breaking down not to mention the bacteria that leaked into your body! I just would like to know how people like Pam can have implants for as long as she has and not get sick. They are huge though. She looks like a freak. I know that she has had them replaced several times and breast fed her son only to find out that one was leaking. Why aren't we hearing health problems with her??? Demi had hers removed. I wonder if she was having problems. Wish people like that would speak up and they don't! Really pisses me off! Guest guest
Shari, Yes, they probably do go to the best doctors and are warned of the symptoms. They all seem to get preferential treatment. I don't believe that PA. has hepatitis. Isn't that life threatening? She has been working since she announced that she had it. It is the same thing as that Judd Mother had and she had to quit her touring. They said that it can be fatal. I don't really believe anything PA says. She was on Larry King when it was first announced and said that she would be getting interferon treatment for it. The treatment is brutal. You lose your hair and everything. She said that she was going to wait several months to get the treatment. Larry King really layed into her about this. Wondering if someone was so sick why they would wait and still be able to work. Not only did she not have a good answer for him, she didn't end up having the treatment. She said that exercise helped her. Bull! I think it was just a publicity thing with her. Not only that, she was fighting for custody of her kids at the time. She claimed that (whatever his name is) gave it to her. I think she just wanted him to look bad in the eyes of the court and the public. As you can tell, I really don't have all that much respect for her! I guess she will be the only one that really knows for sure! Guest guest
Hi, Another problem, which could be related, is if you are dehydrated at all. My chriopractor told me that if you don’t drink enough water the day before you sweat, you’ll be in trouble the day you do sweat. So it’s really important to drink tons of pure water before, during and after a sauna. We have a steam shower and I can’t sit in it for long at all without a glass of ice water to drink. Kenda Hi, Have you tried making sure your electrolytes are in balance prior to trying to sweat. I wonder if this might help you. Guest guest
Hi, Celebrities have their implants redone approximately every 5 years. GT --- " Beth S.
