Guest guest
Rogene, This sounds like great advise, but so far the doctors that I have seen think I am a nut! When I start to inform them of my findings, they want to know where I am getting this info from. Then I tell them and they give a chuckle. The internet and a support group. I have to explain it to them and them they discard the info as it doesn't come from a credible doctor in the area. The internist I went to didn't even know that platinum or metals were found in women with implants. Her specific words, "Aren't they just water or saline and plastic" I don't think we need to test you for metals. Right then I knew I had lost. My general doctor is a friend of the families and he thinks I am nuts too and that I spend too much time on the internet. He says he sees at least one patient a day with implants ( that he knows of ) and none of them have symptoms from implants. I try to explain that maybe there illnesses are caused from the implants, but he doesn't listen to me anymore. Well, I told him he would eat his words when I had the implants removed and my hair loss stopped. Well, I guess I would be the one eating those words now as my hair is still falling out. "He told me so!" Whatever! Even if it wasn't the implants ( We all know it was ) I would never put those foreign things back into my body even if it were done for free! Marie Re: Re: Test ResultsMarie I sent Dr. Melmed the article that was posted earliertoday about thyroid disease in implanted women. He's agood man. I think he'll listen! I also feel it's important to give your doctorsfeedback about everything you've been learning aboutyour health. It may not make a difference for you, butit will give them something new to consider for thenext patient. If they see the info working on the nextpatient, hopefully they will become one of ouradvocates.Perhaps writing a letter that describes yourmis-diagnoses and what has helped, then sending a copyof it to each of the doctors who said everything wasnormal.Somehow, someway, we have to get these doctorseducated! Guest guest
Marie, I know what you mean! . . . It's just that, after years of seeing women come to this group with virtually the same symptoms, with their doctors telling them their tests were normal, and that they should see a shrink - then get better after getting their implants out and detoxing . . . that we KNOW implants cause all sorts of health problems, and that detoxing is a very important part of getting well. There are a number of women who have won their doctors over. . . is one of them. Part of what it takes is finding credible information, in medical terms, from sources they respect. For instance . . . there is information about the chemicals used to make implants. If you'll take that paper to your doctor, the chances of getting tests run improve considerably. Nevertheless, it's been my experience that, unless you just want test results, you're wasting your time and money with most conventional medical doctors. We've already had too many medications. . . Most of what we need to get well is a good diet, lots of water, sleep, stress/anger management and detox programs that target various body organs. We need to avoid chemicals, junk foods, sugar, pollution, negative people, stressful situations, and indulging in anger. We have to listen to our body . . . know when it needs rest, and learn how to say " No " . It would be wonderful if medical doctors would take the time to teach us how to take care of ourselves . . .. but they don't have the time, and chances are, most people aren't going to do it anyway.. . . Look at obesity and smoking! Oh dear, . . . I'm ranting again! . . . Goodnite! . . . Hugs to all, Rogene
