Guest guest
Hi Ladies, I just got some labs back and my progesterone was low, just wondering if any of you had ever supplemented with progestone cream and if so did it work for you? Guest guest
Hi Stacie, I have never used progesterone cream but do use Progone tablets. Be careful, it’s easy to overdose progesterone and hard to get it back down. Kenda I just got some labs back and my progesterone was low, just wondering if any of you had ever supplemented with progestone cream and if so did it work for you? Guest guest
Hi Stacie, I have had a positive experience with progesterone cream. I was estrogen dominant and bleeding to the point of acute anemia. I was scheduled for a hysterectomy after my gyn had me on synthetic progesterone pills and they did not work. I went for the pre-op visit and asked him if we could postpone the surgery so I could try the natural progesterone cream and he was all for it. As soon as I applied the cream my cramping stopped and over a short period of time my bleeding stopped. There is a book written by a Dr. Lee. I can't remember the name of the book. Maybe someone else remembers it. It will educate you on the use of progesterone cream. Guest guest
Stacie, I also have had a positive experience with progesterone cream. I think I should have had it monitored better, but I noticed definite changes in my monthly period and a sense of better well-being while on it. I've been terrible about remembering to use it on days 14-28 of my cycle (and forget my thyroid pills all the time too), so it you try it, use a calender and keep a good record of your usage. Dr. Lee has several books, and I bought " What Your Doctor May not Tell You about Pre-Menopause " . It was very good. Here is his official website: http://www.johnleemd.com/ Good luck!
