Guest guest
Dawn, I was so sure, at one point, that it was my implants especially when I went to see Dr. Kolb. They need to be replaced anyway, cause of the hardness of the capsules. Really, my 1st symptom was the Sweet's Syndrome in 1/02 (my implants were 8 yrs old by then). I didn't start developing systemic symptoms until '03. Unlike you, I feel deep in my heart that I won't get better even if I were to explant without reimplanting. Knowing me, if I was still sick and on top of that completely flat, after surgery then I'd have mental issues to deal with also! Your case seems so cut and dry but, as far as I'm concerned, I had about 8-9 yrs. of no problems from mine. Anyway, thank you for your input! Guest guest
Cheryl, The points you make are completely understandable. That’s the thing, even after explant, should I remain sick, I am not going to mind going back to the way I was pre implant. I looked great then even though I didn’t have big boobs. There really was no need for me to do this except to fulfill my husband’s fantasy of big boobs, but if you saw pics of me then and pics of me now ( sick) you’d agree that I looked a lot better then. It’s completely understandable with what you say about it affecting you mentally. I know that with some people it is like this profound loss and all. Best to you no matter what.. Guest guest
cheryl I had implants for eleven years before I developed symptoms. Then all of a sudden I developed over twenty symptoms in a few months. I started having hundreds of skipped heartbeats aday, a heart rate of 130bpm just walking around the mall, extreme dizziness and brainfog and feeling like I wasn't connected to my body, raynauds, terrible cold allover, dry skin all over my body--I started putting vaseline on my face, flashes of light when I closed my eyes, dry eyes, strange dots on my toes, weird linelike rashes, terrible hand and arm pain, sensitive fingertips so that I couldn't hold silverware or clap my hands together, tingling tongue, beesting like sensations in my head, the skin on my face altered and got harder, lines around my mouth and it was harder to open, my nose and ears felt thicker and weird, my neck got tight and made cracking noises everytime I moved it, and the list goes on and on. I felt I was dying. So I don't know why you think that because you had the implants 8 years that the sweet's syndrome had nothing to do with it. I am certanly not the only one like this. had hers many years before she got sick. Also you said that you believe in your heart that evenif you get them out you won't get well. Well julie is doing great and she had terrible symptoms. I am doing so much better than I was. I still have some symptoms of fibromyalgia, but all that weird stuff i listed above is gone. Even my fibromyaglia is much better than it was. I just have trouble detoxing. You will never know if you could have gotten better if you get reimplanted. I am very flat now- -much flatter than anyone I know, but I could care less. Having my health back--even if it isn't 100% (which it wasn't before I got implants either) is so much more important than how big my breasts are. Please give yourself a chance and don't get reimplanted. Dr. Kolb herself reimplanted with salines, and I hear she admits that even with following her protocol that she isn't as well as she would have been without the implants. You could always get reimplanted down the road if you think that getting them out was a mistake. But I think you will find that you are going to improve and know that you made the right decision to have them out. kathy --- In , " Cheryl " <sunbum256@a...> wrote: > > Dawn, > I was so sure, at one point, that it was my implants especially when > I went to see Dr. Kolb.
