Guest guest
Has anyone purchased her biography and read about her experience with implants (and having them removed)? Just curious if her words will be helpful toward raising awareness about implants. She is doing so many interviews right now (b/c of her book), wonder if it will come up? Probably not, as everyone is focusing on Vadim and threesomes. :-)
Guest guest
Jane Fonda will be on Larry King tonight. Guest guest
I didn't know she had hers removed! Is that in the book? Does she say why she got them out? --- In , " stephsummer " <stephsummer@y...> wrote: > > > Has anyone purchased her biography and read about her experience with > implants (and having them removed)? Guest guest
I read just a bit the Time magazine article about her last nigh . . . She referred to herself as fender, bumpers, etc. falling off as she got older. . . Something like we feel as we get sick from implants. I wouldn't be surprized if that's not why she got them out. Guest guest
This must be the bit you were thinking of: " These days, Fonda has moments when she appears almost calm. At 67, she is a grandma who lives alone in Atlanta, walks with a limp (she recently had arthroscopic knee surgery and will have a hip replaced this summer due to osteoarthritis, a largely genetic condition Fonda says is unrelated to her famous workout regimen) and finds her former sex-symbol status faintly ridiculous. " I'm an old jalopy, " she says, " losing hubcaps and fenders everywhere. But in so many important ways, I've never felt more complete. Which is why " --and here she slips into a fiery stage whisper-- " I had to write this book. " I'll bet Larry King does bring up implants, even briefly. He's funny that way. Jane's mother (last name Seymour) also had breast implants. I can only imagine what the implants were made of. Anyway, Jane mentions this in her bio book as Jane was pretty grossed out by a 'botched' breast aug in her mom. :-( > > > > > > > > > Has anyone purchased her biography and read about > > her experience > > with > > > implants (and having them removed)? Guest guest
Thank you for this: I love Larry King, I wish that he would interview me. I'm going through my old research today. I wish that all of you ladies were here with me today because it is so sad. I have material from so many support groups that no longer exist, some of the women have died. This is a day that I thought would never come, because when the doctors told us that I would die, my just threw all of this research into boxes. This is not just my research, it comes from everywhere. I have just found an article funded by rotten Dow, in this article they mention saline breast implants. Some doctors say that they would not recommend saline because they are problematic to work with! Another article that I found is called " Customized Silicone Implants of the Breast and Chest " (1982), they used a cast made out of plaster. I think that it would be better if I scanned this in for all to see. has to hook up the new scanner, he is just too busy to help me at the moment. Sending love to all....Lea ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~```````````````````````````` Re: Jane Fonda's explantation? > > > > This must be the bit you were thinking of: > > " These days, Fonda has moments when she appears almost calm. Guest guest
Dearest Rogene: Dr. Blais told me that when my friend died and her research was destroyed that there would be many diamonds in all that research. He was right because she shared so much with me. I have just found an article called Implant Lies From Surgitek/Medical Engineering. Corp., I wonder how many more diamonds that I will find? I have found many faxes from a mad scientist whom we all love. Love you....Lea ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~```````````````` Re: Re: Jane Fonda's explantation? > > I read just a bit the Time magazine article about her > last nigh . . . Guest guest
Jane Fonda did not mention breast implants or did i miss that part? She is being very careful about her hip implants. She will not be having silicone, she must know that silicone causes Destructive Arthritis. It seems strange that most all of us have osteoarthritis. She gave a good interview though. Why would a feminist have breast implants, I can't get any feminists to help us, they feel that we deserve whatever we get. Love always...Lea ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`````````````````````````` Re: Re: Jane Fonda's explantation? > > Yep, that's it! Guest guest
Jane Fonda was a long way from a feminist if she let three husbands run her life. Guest guest
The National Organization of Women (NOW) has been very good at supporting us. . . I don't know that I'd call them a feminist organization though. Rogene
Guest guest
I saw Jane on Good Morning America and all she said about her implant removal was that they are not a part of who she is today but were when she had them. She didn’t mention any health issues in the segment I saw. Kenda Jane Fonda did not mention breast implants or did i miss that part? She is being very careful about her hip implants. She will not be having silicone, she must know that silicone causes Destructive Arthritis. It seems strange that most all of us have osteoarthritis. She gave a good interview though. Guest guest
GMA has an excerpt from her bio, with the bit about Jane's mother's BA: " A few days after " divorce " had been uttered (only to me, not to ) I was lying on Mother's bed with her and she asked if I wanted to see her scar from her recent kidney operation. I didn't really want to. But since she'd asked, I felt she needed to show it to me and that I shouldn't say no. She pulled up her satin pajama top and lowered the pants and there … oh, horror — that's why they were getting divorced! Who would want to live with someone who'd been cut in half and had a thick, wide pink scar that ran all around her waist? It was terrifying. " I've lost all my stomach muscle, " she said sadly. " Doesn't that look awful? " What did she want me to say, that it wasn't bad? Or did she want me to agree with her? And look at this, " she said, showing me one of her breasts. The nipple was all distorted. I felt so bad for her — it must have hurt so much — but I also didn't want to be her daughter. I wanted to wake up and discover I was adopted. I wanted a mother who looked healthy and beautiful, at whom a father would want to look when she had no clothes on. Maybe then he'd want to stay at home. This was all her fault. I think it was around that time, maybe right there on that bed, that I vowed I would do whatever it took to be perfect so that a man would love me. Fifty-three years later, Pan told me that Mother had had a botched breast implant. I guess Mother had tried to be perfect, too. I will return to the sad topic of breast implants in act two. " I don't have her bio yet so I can't quote from 'act two'. But feel very sad for her mother.
