Hi Rogene,

Thanks for the info on - I'm not at all surprised to find

another celiac here. :-)

Gluten sensitivity is genetic. A swab gene test can be done via

mail/internet at www.enterolab.com if anyone is interested.

For every one of us diagnosed there are aprox. 140 in North America

who are not. It used to be considered rare, and more common in

Italian, Irish and Northern European families, but celiac is showing

up everywhere now, as the world embraces wheat and processed foods.

I discovered I carry two different genes that predispose me to both

classic celiac (digestive - DQ 8) and sensitivity (neurological etc -

DQ1). It's difficult to say if it was my C-sections or my implant

surgery that triggered its onset; but I went undiagnosed for ten

years. I eventually did my own homework and uncovered the gluten

connection myself. (I was told for years I had " IBS " .)

I've been strictly gluten-free for four years now - and feeling better

every day. My explant surgery was the next piece in the auto-immune

puzzle.

Onward and upward!

Take care,

Moss
