This reminds me of something one of the plastic surgeons told me in his sales job regarding how safe implants are. He actually told me that silicone is inert and is everywhere, our drinking water, packaging for our food — everywhere. Pretty scary to me.

We did some research today at the University of Alberta and look what we found.

" The authors report 3 cases of erosive arthritis resulting from a foreign-body reaction to a silicone implant in the wrist. No patient had a history of inflammatory arthritis. Radiographic changes included well-defined lytic lesions with thin, sclerotic margins, normal mineralization and loss of volume of the implant. Pathologically, a destructive foreign-body reaction was seen, with intra- and extracellular silicone debris. The silicone changed colour from white to yellow! Large extracellular aggregates of silicone particles were also found embedded in fibrous tissue or fibrin. "

In this article they used Dow Corning Silastic (silicone)

In this patient, symptoms developed insidiously over the next 3 or 4 years. "

We have tons of this material, and this proves that even solid silicone breaks down and causes some of the same problems that we are having. I wish that we could find this on the net and we probably can.

What I will try to do is list the references because they tell a story in brief. The manufacturers are lying, and they feel that we are all going to buy their propaganda...I will not.
