Hi Rogene,

This goes right along with some of my treatment with Dr. Leu. He does genetic blood testing which shows not which diseases you necessarily have, but which diseases or conditions you are genetically predisposed to. It is very interesting. The theory is that you can use supplements to reduce the risk of developing certain diseases or conditions before you develop them. I’d love to track down the article you are referring to. Is Discover magazine found in regular stores that sell magazines?

I told you all I’m a test junkie. I think I’ve had them all. :)

The current issue of Discover Magazine (just delivered

yesterday) has an outstanding article on the

effectiveness of dietary supplement - vitamins and

minerals. I hope everyone can get a copy of the

magazine!

They describe the resistance they are getting from

conventional medicine. . . One psychiatrist called for

help when his own child experienced a psychotic

breakdown. He was given the vitamin supplements that

conventional medicine is dissing . . . His son had an

abrupt remission of his symptoms to the amazement of

the psychiatrist! . . .

If you can't find the article, I'll try scanning it.

The type is very small, so I'm questioning how well it

will scan . . .

The theory behind the supplements is that genetic

makeup may make us vunerable to certain vitamin

deficiencies which in turn lead to certain " genetic

illnesses " . Taking additional vitamins may not be a

cure, but an ongoing treatment program.

Hugs,

Rogene

Kenda,

Discover magazine would probably be found at the

magazine section of a book store like and Nobel

.. . . I doubt it would be at the grocery or drug

store.
