Guest guest
Hello everyone, I just had a question about the capsule you all refer to. My doctor told me he is just going to cut my implant open and then take out the shell. My implants lie under my muscles and he said that I won't have any capsule or remnants of the silicone shell in body after he takes the implant shells. I got advice earlier that I should make sure he takes it out whole because if there is any bacteria and he cuts it open to drain it while still in, it will free it in my chest, but he thinks this isn't a risk, that if I am having problems he thinks it would just be to the silicone if they are related at all. Since he is going to leave drains in them after he cuts them open and removes the shell and give me antibiotics I think I will be alright if there is even any bacteria because the antibiotics should kill it and the drains should get out the remaning fluid if contaminated. I was just wondering if he takes them out this way and he says there will be no remnants is there any worries I should still have? If anyone could offer reasons that would be much appreciated. Thanks! -Lo
