Guest guest
Ashish Goel's (1993) father died of metastatic prostate carcinoma on 12 October. Mr. Goel died at home, in the midst of by his loved ones and relatives. He, and the family preferred home care to the hospital care. Mr. Goel had undergone an operation for cancer of the prostate few years ago. Few weeks ago, the cancer cells found their way into his vertebral column. Although he needed a wheel chair to move around in his home, he could perform all activities of daily living independently till death, fighting the disability with remarkable dignity. Even on the last day, when asked by the family if he would like to change his decision in favor of admission to the hospital, he said no- so typical of a 74 -year-old man who knew what he wanted in life. The Goels have organized a Sshanti Sabha on Saturday, October 16, at Ashish's residence: C2-403/ Janakpui, New Delhi. Ashish can be contacted by phone : 9868399771 and by e-mail (ashgoel@...).
