Guest guest
Hi, , can you explain more about this " posture pump " ? I guess since you haven't tried it, you don't know a whole lot. I have never heard of it. Maybe I can look it up on the internet? I am very pro- active. Also what is a " theracane for self-massage??? I do have a jacuzzi but it doesn't help with the stiffness I get, it is more in my neck from the arthritis. I have been into topical creams, lately. I have two new one...one is a sports cream with kava kava and arnica...and then I just bought this Blue stuff with Emu and MSM, and glucosomine tonite at Walgreens....and then I have good old aspercream. I feel like I could open a store!!! But I want to try other stuff besides always running to the Chiropractor.... I think I am really going to commit to Yoga this year, with a teacher I know who does very gentle yoga. WEll, I will keep you all posted on my findings. I am determined to get better with this, as I am only going to get older, and this is a degenative kind of arthritis., in my neck. Happy New year....I am so glad I found this group. You are all so helpful!! Guest guest
Hello Dagmar!! (your name sounds german!) I looked up theracane on the web, the website is www.theracane.com. Under thera cane exercises it shows pictures of how to use it. It is basically a curves massage cane, so your hands and arms don't hurt when massaging yourself. It is for those of us who have already worn out their spouses :-) I know I have!! lol I use it in my hottub and work on my neck and shoulders a lot. It seems that the warmths helps the work on the trigger points. The posture pump' swebsite is http://www.posturepump.com/instructions/general_inst.htm I guess the model 1000 is the one for neck only. Next week I need to get a refferral to my specialist, so my stupid health insurance will pay for my visit. Hopefully I will be able to get the posture pump soon. My PT told me that it has an inflatable cushion under your neck, it gets fitted to your size, and you gently stretch the neck in the right direction. I have a bunch of topical creams, too. I like Biofreeze, it's actually a pain reliever, but it smells like menthol and my husband hates it, so I only use it when it's really bad!! The ones that don't smell don't seem to be as good. I have done mostly yoga, but I need to to vary my workout more. I want to do water aerobics, but I always so tired I end up doing nothing. Bad cycle. I better catch up with all the other e-mails, have a great day everybody!!
