Guest guest
I need help if anyone knows. I had to switch over to the state medical program here in Oregon. They will not pay for 3 of my medicines already and there is more to come. The two they have taken away that are really needed is Lyrica ( used mainly for pain and sleep but I don't think I have fibro) and a drug called Xifaxan which keeps my blood amonnia levels down. I need these pretty badly, especially the latter. My question is " Does anyone know of groups or organizations or anyone at all that might be able to help me? " I would appreciate if you did and could sent it my way. I am getting worse by the day and am a single mother. Mercy
Guest guest
Your doctor should be able to write an appeals letter, stating that you cannot go without these drugs and that your insurance needs to pay for them. Guest guest
Mercy good luck and I hope you are successfull! ________________________________ I really want to thank you all for sending me that information. As far as my doctor, she has done all she can for me right now. She is a good doctor. I am on my 3rd appeal coming up. I might qualify for the Lyrica one but unfortunately, not the other. I will begin to fill out the paperwork tomorrow as it is past midnight now. I hope I get it! I am very hopeful.
Guest guest
Here is a link that could help you get started. http://patientassistprograms.com/  When I had to go on Medicare Part D for my meds, they would no longer fil my Lyrica even though I met the requirements so I switched to Neurontin. It is now generic and you have to take more but at least you can get it. I went with the Humana Medicare program and their mail order pharmacy, Right Source, charges nothing, yes, nada, zip, for generic meds if I get them 3 mos. at a time. So I even get my tramadol the generic 50 mg pills and take 2 of them 4 times a day when my dr. would like me to take the extended ones that are not generic. The only non-generic med that i take is my Cymbalta. Good luck finding help with the meds you need. I hope the link works for you.
