Guest guest Posted July 18, 2002 Report Share Posted July 18, 2002 Angie, As a fellow newbie, can I suggest that you look at the archives here first and also that you decide what kinds of toiletries you are most interested in...soap(melt and pour, cold process, hot process, etc), bath oils, lotions(might want to hold up on that one until you learn more about preservatives though), bath salts, etc..and then do a little reading on the net. There are lots of good web pages....I'd be happy to point you in some directions...email me privately if you'd like...and I know lots of people here know a whole whopping lot more than I do about where to find this information. I think you do need to narrow your interest down. I'd also, because I'm old fashioned, suggest getting some 'paper' books on things that interest you. The field is so huge and the options so vast, that you just have to start with one or two things, learn about those and then broaden out from there. At least, that's what I think.
