Hi Bobbi,

I like to use different sizes of salt crystals too. I like using the Diamond

brand of ice cream salt. It is similar to rock salt, but cleaner and I think

dissolves better.

Hope this helps.

What about buying the 50 lb bag and grinding them down yourself? (toss

em in a blender for instance)

I would like to use sea salts in more then the fine grain that I am

currently getting.

Do not want the solar salts that are used in water softeners.

My DD says they do not dissolve fast enough and she dislikes sitting

on them in the tub. Too bad as a 50 lb. bag is dirt cheap.

For next year I would like to use 2 or 3 sized grains in my scrubs and

salts.

Dear Bobbi,

About a month ago I spent about an hour with my local Morton Salt

distributor and he was kind enough to tell me almost everything he

knows about salt.

Pretzel salt is a very dense salt and will not dissolve quickly or easily

in bath water. I won't even liquify at 500º which is way it's used for

pretzels.

Morton washes all their salts and he recommended their solar salt

for bath salts. They are the only producers of dendritic which they

sell as Starflake which you probably already know.

On the Morton Salt web site there is a chart on all their industrial

salts. I had no idea there was so many different types of salt. Not

just different sizes but different densities too.
