Hi Kate, I can't speak to the grade, perhaps someone else can help you on that part. As I understand it from when I looked into purchasing caustic soda solutions, a 50% solution is stable as long as it's kept above room temperature. I have a feeling that wouldn't be a problem for you there in FL ;-) What I was told at the time was that if it gets cold it can come out of solution and would need to be warmed up and mixed. So AFAIK you'd be fine with using it as long as you could control the storage temperature of the solution....warmer is not a problem, colder is.
