I was incorrect (aka wrong). olidinyl Urea (Germall II) is not permitted in Japan. Howver, Imidazolidinyl Urea (Germall 115) permitted in rinse-off products. It is not permitted in leave on products or products are applied to the mucous membrane. Since Imidazolidinyl Urea is a formaldehyde donor, rinse off products that contain Imidazolidinyl Urea must carry a warning statement that says, " Should not be used by infants or by people who are hypersensitive to formaldehyde. " If you would like a full list of preservatives that are permiited in Japan, go to http://www.convergentcosmetics.com/downloads/Japanese%20Approved%20Preservatives\ ..pdf A copy of this file has also been emailed to Pat for posting in the CosmeticInfo file area.
