Guest guest
Dear Rogene. I know what you mean with the ammonia smell, sometimes when I pass water I can smell it, it has driven me mad not knowing what it was.I have never mentioned it as I just thought it was me as no one has spoken about it on the groups before. I am still using the sauna daily, my osteopath has told me today that my neck has never been so good, I am thrilled.A fter my sauna yesterday I smelt awful I have never smelt anything like it, I cannot even put a name to it but it was awful, this is the first time I have had it though, any ideas? I am also interested by the ammonia thing and what it is. Sue
Guest guest
Sue, The smells that are coming up remind me of what L.Ron Hubbard was saying in his book . . . Toxins are released with sweat and, when someone is releasing something, they may smell of what they are releasing. . . I remember him saying one person smelled of chlorine so strongly they drove everyone else out of the sauna. Have you noticed if the smell evaporates from the towel before it drys? . . . The first time I experienced the sour smell, I thought I had gotten a dirty towel . . . But it was fresh from the laundry. Still I thought maybe I'd left it in the washer too long . . . But the second time, I knew better! I love the feeling I have after using the sauna . . . It feels so cleansing! One of the studies that came with my sauna talked about the chemical composition of sweat generated by a far infrared sauna . . . Much more complex that that generated by a dry or steam sauna. Love, Rogene >
