Hey ,

I did notice! I was going to write you and ask how you were! I

know you must be showing your pregnancy pretty good by now, and I'd

love to see pics. Thanks for the update....

oh boy, another boy! I bet your hubby is happy about that! And that

is so exciting about him and his new business. I can vouch that

being in business is one of the best decisions we ever made. I hope

that you guys find that to be true as well.

Please stay in touch...I know you have alot on your plate, (I know

how that is), so I understand your need to spend time with family,

and especially when that precious new baby comes, you will have your

hands full! But please do let us know. We will all be waiting to

here! Gosh, I wonder if it will be while I am in India???

Thanks for posting ...and for sharing your story for so long to

all of us here who have needed to hear it. It is so important

because we all need to have hope that we really can have our life

back and live again.

God bless!

Patty

> Hey yall, maybe you havent noticed but I havent been speaking alot

on here lately. I have been realy busy with my son Tyler's new

diet, (and mine) and the whirlwind of changes a gluten free diet can

cause. Then there's the docs appts and also my last 3 months of

pregnancy.(looks like another boy!) We just finished the basement,

and are starting on the baby's room, and also my hubby also started

a new business-so as you can see -we have been realy busy. Good

thing i got the implants out, or I wouldnt have all this needed

energy!

I miss all you guys so much! I just wanted to post, that I wont be

emailing alot on here for the next few months, maybe a few here and

there, but I hope you guys understand. I just am losing time. You

all sound like you are all doing good and keeping up the board.

Keep up the good work, dont let others (esp the same old ones) spark

fires where there is no flames and stay strong. Love you,

Great to hear from you and to hear that all is well! Is tyler

improving on his diet? I have noticed only miniscule changes, but

enough to keep me pretty strict about it. Do you know for sure you

are having a boy? Keep us updated. Especially when you have the

baby!!!

Thanks for asking kathy! Huge differnces and fast improvements in Tyler, while slower for me. But still working wonders. Tyler's 4 year battle with ezcema ended 5 days after on the gluten free diet, it is amazing. Gone. Just like that. And he is no longer tired and whiney, seemed almost lazy at times. His energy level has went through the roof, so much so, his preschool teacher noticed his postive changes within a week. Not spastic, but energetic, full of smiles and glee. We are seeing a very less anxious Tyler as well. Praise be to God.

I have had more energy and am lowered now to a total of half the thyroid meds I had needed for so long. Wondering if after pregnancy, and the added baby's demand for extra thyroid is no longer there, that I will be able to get off more meds. We will see. Less medication? Step in the right direction. Who hoo.

I am feeling very good. I notice that days I do slip up or not know i had some gluten, i will have joint swelling and arthrits like symptoms in my hands. Or these tension headaches in ther back of my scalp. Or realy tired days ahead. What are your improvements? It sometimes takes adults like up to a year to a half to fully heal from years of ingesting gluten, and then the resutls are dramatic to say the least. The numbness in my foot , the nervous system things are now gone. In the past. I believe I needed so much b vitamins, like b12, as I was defecient from malabsoption due to the damage in my stomach from celiac's and as I was anemic, I was also defecient in b12. Causing nerve damage. I guess it is common in celiac's.

Unexplained nervous system issues. As well as needing alot of supplemnts as you arent absorbing nutrients correctly. And I was not. I used to need so many vitamins! Arg. I totally think the implants triggered the immune response to gluten in myself and in my son. It made us more suseptable , and although some family members are showing some miild symptoms, I believed that it triggered my immune system to getting full blown celiac's disease. They say you need a trigger. Fill me in, on how you have been feeling. Are you doing it 100%? Love JUlie

Patty, first they thought that it was a boy, now in the last one, they couldnt find the turtle head or the scrotum. Figure that one. I laughted the whole time, this baby has got us guessing fron the go. And actually, Joe wants a girl desperately, so much so, he was a little disapointed for a short time. Tyler is such a mama boy and he wants his little girl. He has always thought he would have a boy, then a girl. I told him, God knows what is best, so we will go with that.

I will check in weekly, and go from there. I will always stay in touch. I mss you and everyone! And I am showing, now at 23 weeks, and I just got some pretty maternity clothes and am filling them in. If i can ever get soemone to take a pic of me, Ill send it in! I've been good too, only gained 8 pounds so far, my doc is realy impressed with me and the whole thyroid situation, he says most women with it, gain too much weight and have alot of insulin issues later in pregnancy. So Im good! Love you!

This is wonderful for both you and Tyler . . . not to

mention the new baby!

Did you notice the website I posted for making your

own flour? . . . www.breadbecker.com . . .

They have a recipe for making Ezekial bread from

legumes.

I don't remember if you've joinged SiliconeKids, but

if you haven't please joing and tell how Tyler was

behaving, what you've been doing, and how he's doing

now! . . . The kids need all the help they can get!

I hope your doctor is gaining a new perspective after

having you for a patient!

That is so amazing about tyler's fast response to gluten. And

wonderful! Mine is slower but I am never sure if I am accidentally

ingesting it because it is in so many things!! And I can't believe

how I forget. We went somewhere and I had chicken and then mashed

potatoes and put on gravy. What an idiot!! AT home I use gluten

free flour and make gravy sometimes. Or we eat in a restaurant and

they tell me some dish doesn't have flour--they just stare at me

blankly when I say gluten--and then later tell me they were wrong.

The improvement that I can say for sure is I dont'get as many herx

headaches. I used to get a bad herx headache everytime I took

something that made me herx. Now I either don't get one or get a

little one.(usually). ON the other hand, I am getting much more

muscle spasms, twitches,as I take things that make me herx. Now I

seem to be in some sort of flare with daily pain in my legs or arms

due to spasms and a feeling that I am vibrating. Of course, this

started happening as I took Naticor (nattokinase which dissolves

fibrin and alpha lipoic acid) and Perfect Food (garden of life). I

started out really slow. at first just 1/4 tsp of perfect food made

me be in pain, and just a small amount of naticor too. But since I

wasn't getting the horrible headache, I gradually increased to 1

capsule of Naticor (usual dosage is 3 a day) and 1 tbsp of Perfect

Food (usual dosage is 2 tbsp a day). EAch day there was an almost

imperceptible increase in leg pain and irritabitlity. Then in late

february and early march it escalated and nothing would stop it. so

I started doing salt baths, sauna etc. That probably just stirred

up more stuff. I can't begin to say how frustrated I get with not

being able to detox right. I think that I kill stuff off and then

can't eliminate it at all! NOw I doing flax seed oil with cottage

cheese. That is supposed to help nutrients get into the cells. I

know that someday I will hit on the right thing to unlock the

stoppage in my detox. Just so frustrated and so many ideas out

there!! If you have any suggestions, I would appreciate it. I

thought if I just didn't get the headache I could stand the rest of

the detox pain. Wrong!!The constant leg/arm aches are getting to me

do. But I do think the diet is making a difference--what else could

account for the headache difference? It has been about six months

now. I need to get more serious on it.

I am so glad to hear that you are still doing good. YOU will just

have to see after the baby is born what happens to your thyroid. It

may adjust for awhile afterwards as does allof your hormones etc.

Take care.

P.S. Do you know where I can get some good mostaciolli noodles. I

didn't see any on the tinkyada website. But I did try their elbow

macaroni and it was good.

I have done one liver flush and I didn't follow the directions that

closely. It didn't bother me and I felt better for a couple of days.

I am going to do another one. NOt sure when. Whenever I take

anything helpful for the liver, it causes symptoms. I can't take

milkthistle or beetjuice with enzymes (acid defense by Garden of

Life). For some reasons enzymes really make me hurt. And it isn't

muscle spasms. It is like a burning pain through my arms and hands

and in my feet and it makes almost pass out like tired and

irritable. How is your son doing on Kane's protocol? Are

you seeing hope with it. I really hope so.

Kathy, You have me totally baffled. It's striking how much your experiences resemble my son's though. I wonder if you both herx from everything because you need the liver cleansing more or not so much. I'm inclined to say more but only time will tell. My son has seen improvements on the protocol however I can't yet give you a fair answer because he definitely has not followed the diet. He is a sugar junkie! Also, I am still waiting to start the IV's. He only had them while we were in Philly so the jury's still out. I still have not done the liver flush. I want to do one soon. It just seems I never have two days in a row to devote to myself. I will be very interested to see how your next one goes. Kathy, I'm sorry you are experiecing this darn muscle leg thing. Im not for sure what could be causing it, but it sounds like you are realy keeping up on it.Hows your hormones? Thyroid? I know from the past, I had alot of weight feeling and fatigue in my legs when I was under thyroid. Just a thought, probably a far fetched one. But who knows?

The flax seed oil in cottage cheese sounds interesting. Fill me in. I know the gluten diet is hard to live by, I am much more stringent I think because I saw the bowel results and blood work results, and it was an eye opener to say the least. Had I not tested, I wouldnt have taken it as seriously. Knowing for surer it causes an inflammatory and high immune response was enough for me. But it sounds like you are doing good on that too! Keep it up. Dont get discouraged. Do you think its worth it? The diet? Yes, Im estactic for Tyler. He is doing wonderfully! My little trooper. He knows he is feeling so much better in fact, if you ask him if he wants a peice of pizza, or a doughnut, or some soft bread- he will will tell you "Is it the special kind? Does it have wheat? If it has wheat or glcto? no thank you! It hurts my head and tummy!" And hes 4! Its so funny. He knows, at his age, in the difference in how he is feeling. No fighting me on this whatsoever.I say no to foods and he is like "OK!" That still hocks me. Love ,

, We are still plugging along. It's hard to keep a teenager on a special diet. My son seems to have most of the problems we all have but he's young and strong and you would never know by looking at him. He has everything from the brain fog to the joint aches to skin issues so I have to keep trying everything I can think of to help him. Needless to say, it doesn't leave much time for me but I at least try to keep up with the sauna and juicing. They both keep me going. The protocol he's on is basically the same things that have helped so many of us: detoxing the liver and adding fatty acids along with supplements. The only real difference is that it is all very targeted to his own test results. Love, Anita girls > > >Hey yall, maybe you havent noticed but I havent been speaking alot on here lately. Anita . . .

This is important information for the SiliconeKids

site . . . Would you mind discussing it there?

Thanks so much!

I feel that we're making really fast progress in

JUlie

the cottage cheese/flax seed oil combo is recommended to properly

utilize the flax seed oil. Without being mixed with a sulphurated

protein it can cause free radical damage. This combo can prevent/cure

cancer as well as help with all kinds of disorders. For cancer, you

should use 2=3 tbsp a day mixed thorougly with cottage cheese. A

woman I know has used this combo with great success. She had bone

lesions that disappeared with this combo as well as reversed a wasting

syndrome. I have been only doing it for the last couple of days.

Hopefully I will be impressed with the results!

  • 1 year later...

Bonnie,

In the past, and sometimes still, I have had the same problem with Jasmine.

She started having monthly PMS symptoms about 2 years before she actually

started having her period. I used this time to explain to her what was about

to start happening, to the degree I thought she could understand it. I didn't

go into the whole fertility thing and the ability to have babies now.

Didn't think she was ready to understand that yet. And she loves babies so

much,

was afraid it would create more problems instead of causing her to be

cautious! So she got plenty of preparation and repetition to help her learn

it.

So when she started she wasn't scared or worried that she was sick or

something.

She was glad to put the pad on, and understood what it was for and that she

would get all yucky if she didn't wear it. The teachers were informed and

pads sent to school. Every thing went along well for a while, but then she

started having some problems where she didn't have one for 4 months, then had

one, then didn't have another one for 3 months. So when she did have one she

didn't want to wear the pads for it.

Dr. found out it was an insulin resistance problem and put her on glucophage

to adjust that. It has worked and she has had a period every month since

that. But the months without one has made her so she doesn't want to wear one

for the whole 6 days. She does good the first 3 days, then as it slows down

and may not get any on a pad from one visit to the bathroom to the next, she

just takes it off and throws it away. (she used to take them off on the bus,

too! I fussed at her, and finally had to threaten to spank her for it and

she stopped-as far as I know) Then it starts up again after a while and she

gets in a mess and calls me in to the bathroom to clean her up and wash out

her underwear! We have talked about this just too many times. I think I am

going to try another approach next time. I think I will try the way you do

when you are potty training a young child. It sometimes gets to the point when

you know they can do it and just won't that you make them wash out the

underwear if they wet in them. I think I am going to try that this month if

she

takes them off and gets in a mess. She will really hate to have to touch them!

Maybe that would work with your daughter, too. If she hates to have messy

underwear, then make her wash them out, or (gross, but might work) make her

wear them a little while with the mess in them, especially when she says she

wants to change them. If she has to wear them a little while and feel the

yucky mess, then maybe if you explain it to her that if she wears a pad she

won't

get that mess in her underwear that might work to get her to wear one. It

may take a while, but it just might work. I know it is really gross, but

sometimes we have to just get real plain with our kids to get the point across.

Jasmine is 15, but as much as I hate it, sometimes I have to treat her like a

young child to get her to understand. And if you use the thin pads that are

more narrow in the middle(always makes some) that might help also.

Well, I hope this long ramble has said something that might help you, or

someone else. Some might think my methods are crude and gross, but if they

work

and nothing else will-then why not? At least it's not like my mother told

it it to me-that the " curse " will happen every month and here's what you use

for it and that's it. I hope no child anywhere ever gets that treatment

anymore!

Thank you so much Tony, for taking the time to write about your experiences with

Jasmine, the same goes to , Jackie and Heike. I really appreciate it. I

could identify Ana in many things you wrote.

When Ana got her period for the first time, she was 12 , and she was not

scared or anything. I was really surprised, because I have dreaded that moment,

not knowing how she would take it. The problem was and still is using the pads.

Like you, I send enough pads to school along with enough clean underwear and a

note asking the teacher for her help. Ana knows that at school they will make

her use the pads, so if I am not careful enough by the time the bus arrives to

pick her up in the morning, she takes out the “supply bag” out of her school

bag! So, what I do is give it to the lady that helps the bus driver to make

sure it reaches school. Ana is the oldest girl in her class, the other one is

only 11 and does not have DS, she has another learning disability.

I have had several embarrassing moments, but fortunately at home, and is

taking a lot of reminding to avoid them; at the beginning she would show her

daddy ( of course my husband is very patient and told her not to do that but to

ask for help to mommy) and also with my teen sons (now 18 and 16). She used to

(and sometimes does) leave her underwear just lying there for everyone to see,

so I have set a special basket lined with plastic so she can put the dirty

underwear there and at the same time reminding her that it will be a lot better

for her if she will only wear her pad. I recognise that I have to be more

strict with her, as you say, taking stronger measures, because Ana is very

stubborn and if left to her, she will never want to wear the pads. By the way,

I buy her the thin pads, because I can forget about the thick ones. Also, I

have already gone to the doctor and will consider to start her with birth

control pill. At the beginning this method was avoided

because the doctor said she was too young and it could affect her growth, but

now that she is 14 she thinks is OK. I sincerely wish there was another way,

because I don’t want her to have side effects, but it is better to regret it

later.

To all of you thanks once more.
