Capsules are the body's way of trying to wall off self

from non-self . . . " Healthy " capsules are usually

very thin. But, once the body goes on the attack, they

can become thick, hard, and even brittle.

In other words, when a noticable capsule form, it's an

indication the body is not happy about their being

there. Whether the capsule is a result of

inflammation, contaminents, or rejection, we really

don't know.

One doctor hypothised that the talc used in the

manufacture of the surgeons gloves caused the initial

reaction. He even tried to take &

court - he lost though. . . He's the one who didn't

care whether women implanted or explanted because he

made money either way. He found that the side that the

surgeon started on (fresh gloves), had more problems.

Since that time, talc is no longer used in the

manufacture of gloves.

My question is that, if talc caused the problem, why

didn't you see these problems in other surgeries? He

said that installing breast implants was more " hand "

intensive than other surgeries.

True or not? I don't know.
