Guest guest
, I'm so happy for you being pregnant and all the hard work you've done. It has been two years hasn't it. I think having your breast milk tested would be a great idea. I think I understand you'd rather bottle fed, is that because of the possibility of silicone still in your system? I for one am totally for breastfeeding if you think its safe. You must be quite well. Did you ever have fibro? Have most of your symptoms gone away? Do you feel mostly healed? How is your pregnancy? How far along are you now. May God Bless you and your child. I breast fed each of my children 2 years. It was very convienient and rewarding. My children were very healthy. What ever is best for you and your baby. I think a schedule is best though and not demand feeding. I feed on damand, but my daughter did not and her child is so much better in ways than mine. Alls I did was feed. She also let her baby cry to sleep, but now it gives her no trouble to fall asleep. I could never get my kids in bed, well thats an exageration but her baby goes right down, I mean right down, I would do that. Guest guest
Dearest , You should not feel guilty about feeling safer to bottle fed. I think I'd have to go that route in with as much as I'm a LeeLeeche league guru. I breast fed long before implants. As for nipple confusion I don't buy it. I actually tandom nursed, that means I nursed two children at once (yeap right through the pregnancy). I'd probably wean a baby at 18 months now if I did it again but LLL said it was safe, and it was, however... I did get a breast infection and had to stop breastfeeding both my toddler and infant at about 1 month after my second delivery. I had to stop for 1 month until my milk dried up and put my baby on a bottle. It was heart wrenching for me. I was bound and determined to breast fed this child, so I expressed my milk until I got a supply and breast fed her after being without milk 1 month and she had been on a bottle that month. I continued to breastfed her for 2 years as well. Just seemed like a fair thing to do, since I had breast fed the other one that long. Its all very natural and my kids would have starved otherwise. I could not afford the formula. My kids never ate out of a jar of baby food either, never. I fully sustained them for 1 year solid. They begaan solid foods at about 1 year. That's what LLL recommended. I had a child that was 100% on the scales and the other was at 75%. Both of my girls are tall and thin now. The oldest never ate any sugar and loved vegetables all her life, the younger was given sugar at about 2 years from some neighbors who thought it was cute (don't let that happen, of course), but she turned into a little sweet tooth. She is a very tiny women and is having her second baby at age 21. She breast fed her 1st one like I said on a schedule and feeds her so healthy. I wonder though if I would not vreast fed your child for a very short while due to the immunities in the milk. Say at least a month. What harm could be done in that short amount of time. Thats the best milk. How about even a couple weeks. If you do decide to breast fed it will take some fortitude. It takes nearly a week for the milk to come in. The first wk. is only clear milk. , whatever you decide is your decision and I would honor you for it. As for getting your milk tested before you deliver, its quite possible you might be able to express some before the baby has even been born. Try a hot shower and massage outwards, its possible you could get milk out, very possible. God Bless, K. >
