, Yes, I am wondering if silicone or other metals are logged into the fatty tissue of the breasts.And that it could be dispersed in the breast milk. I mean who would know? I just have this bad feeling. But maybe it wouldnt be, if the implants were behind the muscle.Thanks for you tips. Did you breast feed before you had the implants, or with them?

Also, Thank you Beth, perhaps I will have it tested but then I would also have to wait with all this milk, trying to pump until results are in, and by that time, the baby will be on formula first. So will it then go to my breast milk after being bottle fed in the first place? They say never to do that, it will cause "nipple confusion." Isnt it crazy? And after a c section, I dont know if I want to be so confused about what I am going to do, waiting on results with Tyler and the new baby. I am realy at a loss on this one. I'm scared to take any risks. I wish there was more info on it, you know At this tpoint, Im wondering if it is better to be safe than later on, sorry. First of all I want to commend you for being so

concerned about your baby and the breast feeding

issue. When I had my daughter I breast fed that was

before I got implants. I was very happy with the way

it all went so when I had my boy I wanted to try even

though I had the implants in then. I now live with the

regret that maybe that is why he has the problems he

does now. I will never know for sure of course but I

would suggest if you have a bad feeling do not do it.

Of course first I would talk to your OB and get more

opinions from other Dr's. What about that Vasey

have you thought of talking to him about this as he is

an implant expert?

Whatever you do end up doing I wish you the best.

I would not worry much about nipple confusion. Both of my sons had to stay in the NICU after I gave birth, one for 9 days and the other for two weeks. I was only aloud to take them out from under their Bili lights for 1/2 hour a day to hold them/nurse them. The nurses would give them breast milk that I had pumped in a bottle and sometimes even supplemented with formula. It was a pain having to pump with that hospital grade pump every 3 hours( I felt like a cow being milked) but it worked and was worth it. I was really worried that my youngest would not nurse well after two weeks on a bottle but he did just fine, no nipple confusion at all. , all I can tell you is go with your gut. You sound like such a wonderful, caring mother who would do anything for her children. Do not feel pressured to breast feed if you do not think it is the best thing for your child and yourself. I would be more concerned that you would be

so anxious about the whole thing and how it was affecting your child that it would affect you milk production. Do what you feel is best for the both of you. You know what that is more than anyone else, it's called mothers instinct. I just didn't want you to worry over the nipple confusion thing. Our little ones seemed to be programed with what they need to do in the very beginning. Best wished to you for a happy healthy pregnancy. Enjoy it!
