Hi Cheryl,

Thanks for sharing. I guess I just have to wait patiently until the 28th before I have any answers. Believe me, I will share whatever information they give me. Not that it will help anyone. I seem to be the only rare case in which it has stayed only in my head. The hair loss and itchy dry scalp. I just received a post from Rogene and she said it was another form of yeast. Yeast? Never heard of that before. Thought if was just dandruff or dry skin. I am so uneducated on all of this stuff. Thank goodness for these women!

Did you say that your hair loss has stopped? Were you losing tons of it on a daily basis? Mostly when the follicles open up in the shower? That's when mine really goes crazy! Again, has the thyroid medication stopped it from falling out?

Thanks,

Marie

Hi Marie!

Hey Marie,I can only relate my story/experience to you. My labs are all normal too, but my thyroid labs are low normal. Because of my extreme fatigue & wt. gain (with no explanation except 6 mo. of steroids) & other symptoms, she put me on the thyroid. Actuall, thyroid supp. should cause wt. LOSS. If you can get a copy of your labs, you can fax them to her.I 'm not sure how long we have to stay on the thyroid supp.; if it helps with wt. loss, I'll stay on it! LOLI hope I answered your questions and hope my info helps you.Take care Marie, glad to help, anytime.CherylOpinions expressed are NOT meant to take the place of advice given by licensed health care professionals. Marie,

Yes…Could definitely be yeast. You

could try Nizoral shampoo…

leave it on for three minutes, then rinse. I get the itchy dry scalp too

it seems to correlate with the hair loss. The Nizoral

helps me abit. You can buy it off the shelf and there

is also prescription strength.
