How to communicate with a deaf/blind person? Shine a bright light?

Shout louder? They say when we die there's a waiting room. The new

arrivals may be surrounded by a dense fog of their own thoughts and

emotions. Their loved ones wait patiently for that self-generated fog

to clear. It always does, eventually. The one inside the fog probably

imagines he/she is communicating, but that's an illusion. If I

imagine I can communicate through that fog, that's my own fog getting
