Guest guest
Mindy, Could you get your hubby to talk to Dr. Kolb? It's possibly your doctor would remove your implants properly, en bloc, with drains . .. but if you can't trust him to remove them properly, you need to see a doctor who will. Dr. Kolb is really stretching to get you in immediately. This should tell you how strongly she feels. Hugs and prayers, Rogene
Guest guest
Mindy, It sounds to me like you are getting hives. I have suffered with them for thirty years. This is just another form of rejection by your body. Everytime I showed anyone my hives they all reacted the same way..."OH my God" Forget the tests if that is what Dr. Kolb told you to do. Most of our tests come back negative anyway. Tell your husband that women who have failed to get their implants out properly have either remained sick or have had to go back and have yet another surgery to get the rest of the mess taken out. Do it right the first time so you can start on a journey of healing. By the way, since I have been detoxing I almost never get hives. I can't remember when the last time was. Love, Anita Hi it's Mindy, I need help I almost went to the ER twice. In the evening time, my tongue swells and I get red patchy spots on my cheekbones as if I had sunburn. I woke up this morning feeling really bad. I was spinning that I felt as if I was going to get sick. I am so fatigue that it is even difficult to type. My upper lip is swollen. Here I go, another new symptom.I saw my general doctor and she agrees that there is a definite problem with my balance and weakness in my right side. She has ordered an ANA test, CT scan and is sending me to a neurologist. I think this is a waste of time. I spoke with Dr. Kolb at 7 pm last night. I gave her my symptoms since my surgery on 02/28/05 and she was confident that I should have the implants removed immediately. She can do the surgery. My husband thinks I should go back to Dr. S and have him do the surgery As weak as I am, I am trying to explain to him that the Dr. has to be an expert in this area. Can anyone help me to convince my husband that Dr. Kolb is not out for the money and it is worth traveling 6 ½ hours to Atlanta, GA? Dr. Kolb said all my tests will come back normal and the ANA test will not show any signs for another 6 months? Has this happen to any of you? I know for sure I have to get them explanted. When I spoke with at Dr. Feng, she stated that I should have all the tests (ANA, MRI, etc.) to rule everything out before I have the explant. Dr. Kolb said to have the explant immediately. I am so confused on what to do? I know that I cannot go on feeling this way. My gut feeling is that I have a 50/50 chance. At least if I don't get better after the explant that I know I tried. My eight year daughter cried this morning telling me that she wished we could go back before the surgery. She misses her active mom. This is the worse I have ever felt. Might I mention, that I only have one kidney (I was born that way). I am scared I will damage the only kidney I have. Please let me know.Love,Mindy
Guest guest
- Mindy It certainly does sound as if you are having a reaction to the implants and a strong one at that. I agree with Dr. Kolb. I would get them out as soon as possible. Even if your tests come back positive I would still get them out. Implants are capable of causing immune dysfunction. Your best chance of getting well is getting them out. We have several women with positive ana's (sign of autoimmune illness) go back to normal after explant. You are having a very strong reaction to them. Unless Dr.Kolb feels the surgery itself would be unsafe with your symptoms I would get them out. Since you trust Dr.Kolb I would go to her instead of your ps. Right now your ps has made you ill. It may be hard for you to trust him and Dr.Kolb does have very good experience dealing with sickness due to implants. YOur ps probably doesn't even believe that implants cause illness. It is very important that you have a doctor that is supportive of you and knows how to deal with your problems. I would think that she also would be able to help you get your insurance to pay for the explant due to medical necessity. Have you talked to her about that? AT least go see her and take your husband so that he can hear what she has to say. He should want you to go where you feel you need to go. He needs to understand how important it is that you go to someone that is knowledgeable. If the situation were reversed and he was sick, he would want you to support him in his efforts to find the person best qualified to help him. I really do think that if you get these implants out that you can return to health and I believe that God has guided you to this site and will guide you into making the right decision for your health. Please let us know what you decide to do. You are in my prayers. Hugs kathy -- In , " sachsrealty " <sachsrealty@y...> wrote: > > I almost went to the ER twice. Guest guest
Hi Mindy, I am so sorry you are going through this. This does not sound good. What you describe does sound like hives. Not good. I have been having severe allergic reactions to absolutely everything ever since being implanted. I am allergic to things that I have never been allergic to before in my life. I believe it’s a matter of my glass has over floweth.. as Rogene described in another post. Had I known then, what I know now, and if I what you are describing happened to me (knowing what I know now), I would have those things removed immediately… Just as Dr. Kolb said. I am going with Dr. Feng and when I spoke with she said that since I got sick so quickly (2-3 mos.) after implantation.. my body was obviously rejecting them and she said it is called multiple chemical sensitivity. I know this is hard to swallow… But, if you get them out now… Consider yourself Blessed. I have been suffering… downright suffering for almost three years with disabling symptoms. Three years of my precious life is GONE. It has not been a good three years for not only me.. It has been bad for my two daughters, my husband and my family. Other lives are most certainly affected by this. I will pray for you that this all works out… and it will. Dawn Hi it's Mindy, I need help I almost went to the ER twice.
