Guest guest
J, I agree with you that it may not be necessary to send your implants to Dr.Blais, so you can put that money to better use. Only you can make that decision. The purpose for allowing Dr. Blais to analyze your implants would be to give you information regarding what pathogens you may be dealing with, whether it is fungal in nature or bacterial, so you know how to pursue treatment, and what condition your implants were in, such as revealing a loss of a large amount of silicone or alot of degradation. If you do not plan on pursuing legal matters, don't need any reports for purposes of identification of your type of implant, and don't really care what your implants were contaminated with, if at all, then you may choose not to have them looked at. It's up to you. Many of us did it simply for the peace of mind in getting answers to our questions since nobody else has been able to even remotely answer the question of " Why are we sick? " At least Dr. Blais offers something we can hang our hat on. Hope that helps you! Guest guest
Thanks Patty, Yes, I can understand now. As often as I've been told that it's in my head, by my spouse and my doctors, I can understand how having proof in writing would help one's sanity, and would help to show others that there were pathogens there. I have saline implants, and they seem to be intact. So, I'm opting for saving those dollars. Thanks for the feedback, J
Guest guest
You don't need to if you don't have a reason to but they test the scar tissue for you with Melmed and you get to keep the implants after so you'll see if it's clear. If it's not clear you can send it to Blais to find out what you need to get the specific toxins out of your body. If it's clear you can help get better by excersize, clay baths and eating healthy foods that will clean out whatever was making you sick like green tea ect. Or you can try other techniques that worked for others. --- In , " crazycanoe1 " <crazycanoe1@d...> wrote: > > I've read about Dr. Blais in Canada, and I even called his office > and received information on how to send the saline implants to his > office for lab testing. > My question is this: Why should I send my implants to this doctor? > I know that he is the expert on the contaminants in implants, and > doing labwork to prove which contaminants are present. Guest guest
Dearest Friend: Dr. Blais is much more than a scientist, he is a researcher as well. He keeps track of all failed breast implants and he never charges to testify in court. I'm not sure why you would not sue the manufacturer; however, this is your choice. When medical products fail, this is product liability and someone should have to help you. I wish you well...much love...Lea ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`````````````````````````````````` Re: why send explants to Dr. Blais?? > > > You don't need to if you don't have a reason to but they test the scar > tissue for you with Melmed and you get to keep the implants after so > you'll see if it's clear. Guest guest
Patty put it very well. It's your decision. Having them tested can also give you specifics, like exact names of the fungi and/or bacteria. Any contaminents inside the implants may not be completely out of your body with the implants. Most of the time, they are finding huge numbers of those contaminents in the capsule and removing En Bloc doesn't asure that all of those contaminents are removed with the capsule. Sometimes knowledge of specific fungus and/or bacteria can give knowledge of specific treatments. Hope I helped in answering your question on why so many send implants to Canada.
