Using alcohol (Vodka) as a preservative

Hi All;

I'm new to the group and would like to first say that I find the content very

interesting and informative.

I have recently come across a lotion recipe that suggests adding Vodka as a

preservative?! Never heard of such a thing before and wondered if anyone can

answer if this suggestion has merit.

Welcome to the list Gaye. Vodka will not act as a preservative in a lotion,

so the suggestion has no merit.
