Guest guest
Thank you for this, the same is true for pulmonary embolisms...not the symptoms. Most people do not have the symptoms of PE and fail to go to call 911. That is why we have insurance to cover an ambulance, they have been to our home three times. I'm on blood thinners, but I could still have another PE. Most people die from PE, but again I am a mystery to all of my doctors. They know that I have had three pulmonary embolisms, but they are not sure why I survived. The time last that I was rushed to hospital I had all of the symptoms of a stroke, but it was not a stroke. They did a special test on my heart, it was called something weird, they had to keep me in the hospital for 24 hours before they got the results. As most of you know I have had an enlarged heart, both sides with a stiffening of the right ventricle. I have seen my pulmonary specialist and she feels that I'm doing much better on the blood thinners. I go for lung function tests on Monday, wish me luck.
